Not all biomass is created equal.  The following sources yield the best results in biogas production:

  • corn
  • grass
  • bio-waste
  • rural green-cuts
  • municipal solid waste
  • cattle/horse/chicken waste

All of these biomass types yield between 55 – 70% biogas energy out of their theoretical energy levels of between 200 and 90 cubic metres per ton.
